Delta-8 in Georgia

changed the Georgia Hemp Farming Act, nor has its Controlled Substances Act
been modified.
What about legalizing medical cannabis?
Georgia has legalized medical cannabis, but it is only
used in limited circumstances. In 2015, HB. HB. 1 (also known as The Haleigh's
Act) legalized medical cannabis oil with 0.5% THC. This is in contrast to the
federal limit of 0.3% THC. Before patients can be prescribed medical cannabis
oil, 17 conditions must be satisfied. Crohn's disease, epilepsy, chronic pain, and
post-traumatic stress disorder are qualifying conditions. Nine Georgia
jurisdictions have reduced or decriminalized cannabis possession and use.
Statesboro, Clarkston, and South Fulton are some of the jurisdictions.
